Here are the highlights of the Rik Sexton virtual video speech. He isn't really standing in front of congress, but he should be. Youtube "Rik Sexton gun control."
You can't ban violence, murder and insanity. It will always be there.
There are predators and prey. Sexton illustrates this as leopards and gazelles. If you love gazelles and want to protect them, would it make sense to outlaw predators? Would it force leopards to stop being leopards? An even dumber act would be to cut off the horns of the gazelle and file down their hooves. Would we even consider making the leopard's job easier? See the analogy?
You get more of what you subsidize and much of America wants to subsidize victimization. Sexton uses 2011 FBI crime stats and says that there were 8583 firearm murders; 323 of those murders were committed with rifles of any type. Over 150 people were hammered or clubbed to death; Over 600 people died ta the hands of...hands or feet. That means punches or strangulation. More of a personal touch; 1600 were knifed to death and; around 100,000 were killed by medical malpractice.
Here's the greatest stat of all. It is the benefit vs cost analysis. The bottom line. Between 800,000 and 2 million crimes were prevented by armed people. Using the low number of 800K means that crime was stopped with firearms 100 times more than it was perpetrated. That stat alone says guns should flood the country and gun-free zones should be outlawed.
The anecdote Sexton uses should hammer the point home. In October 2007 Amanda Collins walked to her car at the University of Nevada at Reno (UNR). Amanda had a permit to carry a concealed weapon (CCW), but the UNR was a gun free zone and Amanda complied, which turned her into a hornless, hoofless gazelle. She walked to her car that was less than 300 yards from the campus police station where she was attacked by a human leopard. The scum bag raped her and walked off in confidence knowing that a gun free world was his oyster, but with conditions like that, the scum bag wasn't about to quit.
A few months later the same guy struck again. This time he murdered 19 year old Briana Dennison. Amanda Collins publicly commented that the murderers days would've been over had she had the right to carry a gun at the UNR. The UNR subsidized murder and got more of it. How many guys out there care so little for their niece, cousin, daughter, sister, aunt or mother that they would say to them, "If you ever get into a situation where a man is going to rape and kill you, I want you to just suffer the consequences and not fight back?" Do you think the relatives of Amanda and Briana wished that they had carried a firearm?
Does society not have the right to defend themselves from rape and murder knowing that lethal tools are used 100 times more for the power of good than they are used for the power of evil? The sad fact is that if you're anti-gun in theory, you're pro murder in practice. The US 2nd amendment was intended to protect Americans from politicians and people like you.
As a footnote, here are some numbers to keep handy. This is a list of the causes of death in America between 1 January 2015 - 2 Dec 2015. The numbers are rounded off.

Dennis has been to 35 countries and carried a gun in most of them. He's worked as a soldier, policeman and intelligence operator before and during the Bosnian war. When looking into the abyss, he found that it has several faces and names that can and should be identified. A Henchman's Honor tells the story of his path to discovery and blows the lid off the organization of evil.
